چکیده:

This article looks at the formation and development of Russian space terminology.
The author shows that this terminological fi eld has a complicated nature. Linguistic
means used in this fi eld are also considered: borrowings, various types of compound
names, fi gurative names linking space terms with the terms of earth environment
familiar to human beings.
